1940s dress in a supple rayon fabric with a gorgeous purple, green, black and white floral print. It has short sleeves, a V-neckline and a wrap-style front that is partially stitched in place and has a snap at the top. The bodice has darts at the front and back, and there is gathering at the front shoulder seams. The back has small shoulder darts. The skirt has a gently flared shape. It closes with a side zipper. The zipper has been replaced with a newer one. The dress was shortened in the past, and there is still generous extra hem allowance at the inside, as well as extra seam allowance at the side seams and waist seam.
