Late 1930s to early 1940s black wool knit sweater with a decorative crochet lace insert across the upper front and shoulders, extending into a scalloped stand-up collar.
It has slightly puffed shoulders, bracelet-length batwing sleeves and a short, fitted waist. Wide ribbed knit bands finish the lower sleeves and hem. A short metal zipper at the centre back fastens the neckline.
Made from fine wool tricot with a little stretch. Labelled Pfeiffer.
