1950s Ascot Clear Lucite Two-Tiered Handbag

A compact late 1950s handbag by Ascot, made from clear lucite with an oval box shape. The bag has a two-tier construction, consisting of two stacked compartments.
The upper compartment closes with a lucite clamp-style closure. The lower compartment has a metal push-button closure, which opens by pressing the mechanism on the left side. The bag has a fixed lucite handle.

Measurements:
• Width 18.3 cm / 7.25"
• Height 10.5 cm / 4.25"
• Depth 10.3 cm / 4"

In good condition with signs of age. There are surface scratches throughout, consistent with normal use over time. There is a very small crack at the top, as shown in the photos. Both closures function properly, and the handle and hinges are intact.
