S | 1930s Black Wool Crepe Dress With Lace Trim

Black wool crepe dress dating from the 1930s. The dress has an old lace trim at the neckline and sleeve ends. It has a beautiful decoration of glass beads and topstitching on the bodice and sleeves. There is a repair at the lace on the back; this is not noticeable when worn. A small repair is present near the back opening.

The bodice has long vertical seams at the front and short pleats at the waist for shaping. The skirt flares gently and is finished with pleats at the front and back. The skirt has six pleats at the front and three at the back. The dress closes at the back with eight fabric-covered buttons and at the side with six press studs.
