This original late 1940s to early 1950s black crepe dress is labeled Symphony. The dress has long sleeves with a split and small buttons. The shoulders are wide with shoulder pads and smock detailing. The bodice is shaped with darts at the front and back. The dress closes at the neckline with a button and keyhole opening at the back and a metal side zipper. The skirt has asymmetrically applied layered panels with gold sequin embroidery running in flowing lines. The embroidery is applied on approximately two thirds of the back.
