This early 1930s brown velvet hat has a softly shaped crown and a wide asymmetric brim, turned upwards at one side. A bow made from narrow velvet bands decorates the side of the hat. The interior is finished with a grosgrain band and a woven Rose Descat Paris label.
Rose Descat was a Parisian milliner whose designs are represented in museum collections, including the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
Measurements: • Width, measured flat: 33 cm / 13” • Front to back, measured flat: 26 cm / 10.25” • Inside circumference: 52 cm / 20.5” Size is small.
