1930s handbag by Schowanek, made in Czechoslovakia. The bag is constructed from small painted wooden beads in cream, blue, yellow, red, green, brown and black, arranged in a geometric floral pattern. It has two rounded beaded handles. The top and handles are finished with dark navy grosgrain ribbon. The bag closes with a metal zipper with a ball-chain pull and has a fully lined interior with one slip pocket. The original Schowanek label is sewn inside.
