Large 1930s handbag by Suzanne, made in Czechoslovakia and completely covered with small wooden beads.
The beads form an elaborate geometric and floral pattern in muted earthy shades of red, brown, olive green, ochre, blue and grey. The same beadwork continues over the shoulder strap.
The bag closes with a metal zipper, which works perfectly. The black fabric interior is very well preserved and has one small compartment. The original woven “Suzanne Brand – Made in Czechoslovakia” label is still present, although one side of the label has come slightly loose.
Approximately 31 cm / 12 1/4” wide and 17.5 cm / 6 7/8” high. The shoulder strap measures approximately 45.5 cm / 18” in total length.
In excellent vintage condition. The beadwork is remarkably well preserved and the lining is almost completely intact. The original label is slightly loose at one side. This is a vintage item. Please review all photos carefully before purchasing.
