1950s Black Crochet Handbag with Brown Plastic Handle

Elegant 1950s black handbag with a finely crocheted exterior over smooth black satin-like fabric.

The bag has a silver tone metal frame with a kissing clasp closure and a curved glossy brown hard plastic handle. The crochet work is beautifully preserved and gives the bag a subtle textured finish.

The interior is lined in black fabric and has one small compartment.

• Height: approx. 17 cm / 6 3/4”
• Handle drop: 8.5 cm / 3 3/8”

In excellent vintage condition. The crochet work, metal frame and interior are all very well preserved. The handle shows a few small areas of surface wear/chipping, and the inner pocket has come slightly loose along part of the seam.
