1950s cotton poplin skirt in dark navy blue with an Egyptian novelty border print. The print has pharaoh figures, hieroglyph-style motifs, eye symbols and decorative borders in red, gold, blue and cream. The skirt has a fitted waistband, a side zipper and a button closure at the waist. The fabric is cotton poplin with a full A-line shape.
Measurements: • Waist 74 cm / 29.25" • Length 67.5 cm / 26.5" Size is small to medium.
Photographed with petticoat for volume, not included in the sale. In good condition. The small speckled “holes” in the printed areas are part of the print design and are not paint loss. The fabric is a little faded from age and wear, especially around the waistband.
