Beautiful 1950s hard box handbag made from tightly woven natural straw with a geometric red pattern. The bag has double gold-tone metal handles, a red leather closure flap and a small metal turn-lock.
The rigid box construction gives the bag a wonderful mid-century shape. The interior is lined in deep red felt-like fabric and has a zippered pocket.

In excellent vintage condition. The straw exterior, leather and metal hardware are all very well preserved. There is a small area of damage to the interior lining where part of the hinge appears to press through the fabric. Please see photos.
