1950s style Hawaiian sarong dress and matching bolero set, handmade by Lily Scarlet from Alfred Shaheen cotton fabric from 2010.

The fabric has a crane print on a deep cobalt blue ground with warm orange and tan details. The dress is made after a 1950s pattern and has a wrap front with sarong-style overskirt. The bodice is lined in orange and has boning at the sides and back. The halter strap is removable and attaches with buttons.

The matching bolero is lined and reversible, so it can be worn with either the crane print or the orange side showing. This is a one-off piece made from a limited piece of fabric.
