Hungarian peasant blouse dating from around the 1940s, made from a lightweight, slightly sheer fabric, possibly silk or rayon. The blouse has colourful floral embroidery at the front and on the sleeves, with smocking and multicolour embroidery around the neckline, sleeve cuffs and hem.
It has short puff sleeves, a gathered neckline and a red tie cord with tassels. The sleeves are cut with raglan seams and underarm gussets. The smocked hem gives the blouse a short blouson shape.
