1940s dress made from soft and drapey rayon novelty fabric with a cream base and a red, green, yellow and black tropical print. The print includes palm trees, fruit, leaves, birds and outrigger motifs.
The dress has an overlapping bodice, short puff sleeves with small pleats at the shoulders and a fitted waist. It closes at the side with five small buttons. The waist has a narrow smocked section and attached ties at the back, with one tie coming from the opposite side of the waist. The skirt has flat pleats at the front and a smooth back.

In good condition with signs of age and wear. There is some small wear at the shoulders, two tiny pinholes at the front and one tiny pinhole in the skirt.
