Original 1940s swagger coat in black gabardine wool. Classic wide A-line cut with generous volume at the front and back. The coat has a loose, open fit without a closure, typical for this style. It has wide sleeves with turn-up cuffs, pronounced shoulder padding and a decorative trim along the yoke at the front and back. Fully lined in rayon.
The coat closes at the front with two fabric-covered decorative buttons at the upper chest, but remains open below. A strong example of a true 1940s swagger silhouette with dramatic proportions and fluid movement.
