Blue-grey rayon dress from the 1940s with large shoulder pads and long sleeves shaped with elbow seams. Two inset panels on the front bodice have rows of topstitched chevron tucks. The front of the revere collar is decorated with green-grey beaded flowers and edged with blue beads. Four concealed snaps fasten the bodice beneath the fabric-covered buttons.
The ten-panel skirt flares from the waist seam, with pleats at the back waist. The dress has belt loops and a matching self-fabric belt with two snaps and two fabric-covered buttons. The belt snaps have been moved, leaving small holes at their previous positions. Moving the snaps back would bring the belt circumference to 80 cm / 31½ in.

In fair/good condition. There are a few small marks and missing beads on the collar, a pinhole on the back and small holes near the sleeve ends. A line of stitching has been removed at a sleeve hem.
