The dress has a wide neckline and is sleeveless. The bodice has princess seams at the front and back. It has partial lining. At the waist, it features a large bow with a matching rosette made from the same fabric. The skirt is pleated and lined, with internal paper interfacing added to support the shape. At the back waist, an internal band with hook-and-eye fastening helps keep the bow in place. It closes at the back with a long metal zipper. Inside the shoulders are original straps to secure bra stays.
