Black dress from the 1940s, made from crepe with a smooth interior finish. It has a shawl collar and pleats at the neckline. The bodice is smocked at the front. Beadwork is applied on the chest, at the hem of the skirt, and at the end of the matching belt with tassels. The long sleeves taper toward the wrist and close with three fabric-covered buttons. The dress has belt loops at the waist. The skirt flares gently toward the hem. It closes with a back zipper, and has been replaced and was machine-stitched.

In very good condition. At one of the buttons the fabric is slightly loose. This is minor and not noticeable. The color is a deep, true black. The black has been slightly lightened in the photos to show the details more clearly.
