Silk peplum blouse dating from the late 1930s to early 1940s. The blouse has a high gathered neckline and three-quarter sleeves. It is fitted through the waist and finished with a peplum hem. The silk features an Asian inspired medallion print in red and silver, reflecting the influence of East Asian textiles on late 1930s fashion. The blouse closes at the back with four hooks and eyes and five press studs. The peplum closes with three additional press studs at the back.
