1930s/40s Astrakhan Capelet

Short evening capelet in black astrakhan designed to wear over a dress or coat. The inside is quilted for structure and warmth.
The capelet has a standing collar and closes at the front with three hook and eye fastenings. Decorative cord ornaments with small tassel details sit near the neckline. The semicircular cut allows it to drape over the shoulders in typical late 1930s to early 1940s fashion.

In excellent condition with normal signs of age.
