1930s/40s Popcorn Crochet Evening Bag With Carved Plastic Frame

Small white popcorn crochet evening bag from the 1930s/40s, with a decorative carved plastic frame with flowers and leaves. The bag has a soft crocheted body with raised popcorn texture, a braided handle and a small clasp at the top.
The frame is made of white plastic, possibly celluloid. It opens and closes well, but it does make a slight squeaky sound when opened.

Measurements:

• Height without handle: 19 cm / 7.5"
• Handle length: 29 cm / 11.5"

In good vintage condition. The bag is still a nice white colour overall, with some light age-related yellowing to the frame. There is a small red stain inside the lining, not visible when worn. The lining shows some light signs of age.
