1930s Schowanek Wooden Bead Handbag

1930s handbag by Schowanek, made in Czechoslovakia. The bag is constructed from small painted wooden beads in cream, blue, yellow, red, green, brown and black, arranged in a geometric floral pattern. It has two rounded beaded handles.
The top and handles are finished with dark navy grosgrain ribbon. The bag closes with a metal zipper with a ball-chain pull and has a fully lined interior with one slip pocket. The original Schowanek label is sewn inside.
