1940s Art Deco Black Cordé Handbag w. Brass-Tone Frame

1940s black cordé handbag with a beautiful geometric pattern formed by rows of raised cordwork. The symmetrical design covers both sides of the bag, with angular lines and stepped shapes.
It has a braided carrying strap and a wide art-deco brass-tone metal frame with an unusual sliding clasp. The central metal piece slides sideways to open the bag.
Black satin lining with two interior slip pockets.

In excellent vintage condition with some tarnishing to the metal frame.
