1940s Dark Navy Wooden Beaded Handbag

1940s handbag constructed from glossy wooden beads in a very dark navy blue, appearing almost black. The front and back are decorated with vertical rows of smaller beads in red, yellow, green, blue and white.

The bag has two short beaded handles with their original black grosgrain backing and closes with a metal zipper.

Measurements:
• Width: 26 cm / 10.25”
• Height excluding handles: 17 cm / 6.75”

In good vintage condition. The beadwork shows general signs of age and use. There are several old repairs to the handles, with visible stitching in places, as shown in the photos.
