Black velvet evening clutch from Hong Kong, dating from approximately the late 1950s to the 1960s. The front is decorated with floral goldwork embroidery in gold and silver metallic thread, finished with small colored cabochons. The back is plain black velvet.
The clutch closes with a snap fastener and has a gusseted base that expands to approximately 4 cm. Suitable as a compact evening or cocktail bag.

In good vintage condition. The velvet and embroidery are well preserved. The interior lining shows several age-related marks and areas of discoloration.
