1950s/60s Garay Brown Fabric Handbag with Clear Plastic Handles

Brown fabric handbag with a structured trapezoid shape, wider at the top and tapering towards the base. Two clear, Lucite-style plastic handles are attached with gold-tone metal fittings.
Gold-tone metal frame with a lift clasp and an engraved geometric pattern inside. Brown satin lining with an interior pocket bearing the Garay label.

• Width at base: 21 cm / 8¼”
• Height excluding handles: 19.5 cm / 7¾”
• Handle drop: 10 cm / 4”

In good vintage condition with visible wear. The fabric has marks, uneven discolouration and some fraying along the upper edges. The metal frame shows substantial wear to the gold-tone finish and tarnishing. The handles have surface scratches, clouding and slight yellowing. Some marks to the lining.
