S/M | 1950s Black Taffeta And Velvet Cocktail Dress

1950s cocktail dress, made from black taffeta with a black velvet bodice overlay. The bodice has decorative flame-shaped appliqués with rhinestones and beads. The dress has a wide straight bateau neckline and a fitted bodice with darts at the front and back. The skirt has wide flat pleats. It closes with a metal side zipper. Inside the shoulder area there is a small ribbon strap to help keep the neckline in place.

• Waist 74 cm / 29.25"
• Hip free
• Shoulder 5.5 cm / 2.25"
• Top length 40.5 cm / 16" measured on the side
• Skirt length 67 cm / 26.5"

Size is small to medium.

In good vintage condition with light signs of wear. A few rhinestones and some beads are missing from the decorative appliqués. (see last image)
