S | 1940s Soutache Wool Gabardine Tailored Jacket – Abraham & Straus

A beautiful, deep black wool gabardine tailored jacket with a faille lining. Black soutache braid decorates the revere collar and patch pockets, which extend from the front dart to the side seam and have rounded edges.
Double waist shaping at the front and back creates a fitted silhouette that flares over the hips. Shoulder pads, long sleeves and turn-back cuffs with a small V-shaped detail. The jacket fastens at the front with four buttons.

Labelled Abraham & Straus, Brooklyn. An additional Consumers’ Protection Label from the National Coat and Suit Industry Recovery Board is sewn inside.
