Vintage Black Velvet Evening Bag With Peacock Embroidery

A mid-20th century evening bag made of black velvet with elaborate hand embroidery. The design shows a peacock with a long tail and golden flowers, worked in metallic threads with red cabochon accents. It has a twisted gold cord strap and closes with a snap button. Inside is lined with black satin and fitted with two compartments finished with golden trim.
