1940s black cordé handbag with a beautiful geometric pattern formed by rows of raised cordwork. The symmetrical design covers both sides of the bag, with angular lines and stepped shapes. It has a braided carrying strap and a wide art-deco brass-tone metal frame with an unusual sliding clasp. The central metal piece slides sideways to open the bag. Black satin lining with two interior slip pockets.
