1940s brown Genuine Cordé handbag, made from densely worked rayon cord arranged in geometric patterns. The bag has a shaped flap, matching corded handle and a gold-tone metal turn-lock closure.
The sides and base are constructed with folds that allow the bag to expand considerably at the bottom. The interior is lined in brown fabric and has a zippered pocket. The Genuine Cordé mark is still faintly visible inside.

In very good vintage condition. The Cordé work is very well preserved. There is some overall fading/discoloration from age; the original darker brown color is visible underneath the flap where the fabric has been protected from light. This is a vintage item.
