Stunning late 1940s dress by Junior Fashions by Carole King, an American label known for stylish junior-sized clothing aimed at young women in the postwar era. This piece captures the transitional silhouette between 1940s utility and the emerging 1950s New Look, with a fitted bodice, flared skirt, and decorative bustle detail at the back.
Made from rayon in black with a fabulous pink and beige novelty print. The pattern features parasols, fans, masks, and floral elements in a playful and artistic arrangement. The dress has a small rounded neckline, shoulder pads. short sleeves, and closes with a metal zipper. The front has a row of covered buttons, and the skirt is finished with a double flounce detail at the hips.
