1940s day dress in navy blue fabric with a subtle woven swirl texture and contrasting striped panels at the sides and skirt hem. The bodice closes at the front with buttons down to the hip and has a hook-and-eye closure at the waist. It has a soft revere collar and short sleeves with gentle gathers at the shoulders. The skirt falls from the waist seam into a straight, lightly shaped silhouette. The striped panels add vertical structure and visual contrast typical of 1940s daywear. Home made.
